Name:
Michael Smythe
Occupation:

Why joined Hoosier Cruiser:
Originally to increase my knowledge of Land Cruisers, meet other like minded people, and tap into the valuable local resources, parts and friendships.

Enjoy the camping, trail rides and all around friendships!

Description/Features of Rig:
Started life as a 1968 FJ40, which I discovered back in the early 90's on a used car lot. It had recently been brought to Indiana from Colorado and was pretty solid compared to most of the ones that were originaly from this area.

After many mods and rebuilds it is a Uroc/WeRock Modified Class rock crawler. Still sitting on the original frame, and the original firewall, the rest is all new and improved.

Badlands built roll cage houses a 4.3 Vortec, 700r4, Atlas II, Bilstein coil overs and full 4 link position, custom High Pinion reverse cut 35 spline Dana 60's, turning 37x12.50x17 BFG Krawlers on Robby Gordon beadlocks, covered in hand made aluminum body skins and interior.

Badlands Off Road did lots of the custom work, and the rest was done in my shop/garage with the help of friends and fellow club members!

Hobbies/Interests:
Extreme Off roading, travel, camping and all levels of fabrication and wrenching on my vehicles.
